A new audio system has recently been installed in St John the Baptist Church in Harringworth and will enable the hard of hearing to benefit from greatly improved sound during services.
As well as the Hearing Induction Loop, which can be picked up by hearing aids, there are now microphones in the pulpit and lectern, a roving microphone and one that can be worn on the chest. Sockets have also been installed to enable music to be played using an ipod or laptop. This excellent facility should enhance the enjoyment for day to day church services and also christenings, weddings, funerals and when the Church is used for a venue for other activities such as concerts and the Christmas Bazaar.
Should anyone wish to use the system, other than for normal church services please consult Chris Hendy or Ian Saunders for authority and guidance on the operation of the equipment. The controls have all been pre-set and should not require any alteration, however should there be any need to alter settings please consult Chris or Ian.
